If I buy expansion will I be able to play game beginning at the end or have to play the whole game through again? Since game is repackaged with original game will I have to re-download my priginal disk?

Flames of Vengeance is an add-on to Ego Draconis. You can continue from where you left off if you still have your savegames.

The Dragon Knight Saga is the two halves fully integrated, in other words it's essentially ED+FoV in one package (with caveats); at present it isn't compatible with Ego Draconis savegames and there are a number of additional gameplay changes, mostly in terms of "rebalancing" from what I understand. These may be incorporated into a future patch for FoV.

A number of improvements featured in DKS and FoV are also applied to Ego Draconis when FoV is added on, mainly some visual changes and that the difficulty range now goes lower than "extremely hard"!

DKS is the new "remastered" version of the original ED game plus its expansion (Flames of Vengance). While technically not a new game, save games aren't compatible between ED and DKS - apparently because they made too many changes in the way quests worked.

IF you want to continue your original ED game, you must buy the correct version of the expansion (FoV) for your original game. If you buy DKS, you'll get a better version of the game, but you won't be able to load your previous ED save games.

I understand that Larian are currently working on a patch for ED that will upgrade it to the "remastered" version, but apparently even with this patch, you won't be able to import old save games. I guess that if you want to play the improved version, you need to start again from scratch.
