Well, I'm yet to install a patch that doesn't break something while fixing another. I don't know whether it is carelessnes, lack of knowledge, or lack of QC, but this behavior seems to be widespread among all developers. I think they'll have a real breakthrough once they realize what causes it and release the very first "faultless" patch some day.

Although Patch 2 seems to greatly improve the Game, there are some issues popping here and there, that weren't there before.

I just completed Larian's, err... Librarian's quest and did not receive my Dragon Skill book even though he said he gave it to me. To me, that's a big one. I can live with small stuff like Peavey's treasure chest coming up empty but this one did bother me.

Since we don't have a "BUGS" thread, I decided to put it here instead of the "Technical Issues."

The Librarian does not give a dragon skill book. Never has.

Very interesting. Has this been changed by the Patch 2? Because during my past playthroughs, I have always received 2 books from him: Orbis Arcesso and a Dragon Skill Book.
How do you explain the following conversation?

Dragon Knight: Might this be the book you were looking for?
The Librarian: Yes! There it is! How can I reward you my good friend?
Dragon Knight: I should like to have a look at the second part.
The Librarian: But of course! Here you go. And take this book as well. It will prove very useful should you one day become a Dragon Knight.

Hmm, I think I'd always misread that bit as "you can keep it". So much for my reading comprehension. Again.

I believe I also got a dragon skill book on my first playthrough. But not on the last one.
