Hi there,

I admit I'm a bastard. But hopefully I'm redeemed.

I usually play pirated games. But after completing DKS I felt so horrible, so bastard, that I'm buying the game at the most expensive store.

I was so amazed on how much talented are Larien designers, developers, game art pals, and writters, that it felt aberrating to enjoy the results of their efforts for absolute zero pennies.

I have also written my first review at gamespot.com (after 7 years of membership). 9.5/10. Just to help honestly convince other gamers to go buy this gem.

Only after doing these two things I was able to sleep again. Yes, so great was my remorse.

Anyway I will burn in flames in hell, but my soul is happy, as Larian CEO will go to heaven.

I won't EVER behave as an asshole. As T-800 sayd "I swear I won't rip off anyone".

Merry fucking chrismas,

The HopefullyRedeemedBastard

My nemesis are Goblins. I hate them to DEATH. They reproduce like spores. They are ugly. They smell horrible. They look like cold-blooded reptiles. I was born to annihilate all of them. Bring chaos, pain, and sorrow to their pathetic existence. Torture them. Dismember their bodies.

And they say piracy hurts bussiness!

(ok, it probably does...but some people really do buy games after trying out pirate copies, and would not buy the games at all without trying them first)

I read your review, and I love this ^^ quote:

Quests: 10/10
~~~~~
Forget the ridiculous "go there and kill 7 pathetic worms", or "give this piece of crap to my bastard son which lives in the other end of the map, and get back for a miserable reward".
I must admit that this is the first game in 3 years time that I bought (not mentioning Ego Draconis last year, that is). And realizing I play like 2 games a month, that's not a lot. I dont know exactly what makes this game different than the rest, but it has something uniques. And the feedback/reactions/help from the developers on the forum is amazing smile
Merry christmas Larian, and to all dragon knights over here
Would you please enlight my soul and let me know how did you guess that that review was mine? There are more 9.5 reviews. I'm so intrigued that I can hardly breath, so I am near a death by grotesque asphyxia.
Absolutely agree with you.
In other matters, did you guys and gals know that as far as I know at least two major hits songs, two number ones, two musical best sellers, where inspired while playing Dragon Knight Saga?
-Hit #1: "Nothing Compares To You", by Sinead O'Connor (third cousin of Sarah Connor)
It is only known in its private circles that Sinead was a maniac videogame player. She was so obssessed on playing the best possible RPG, that bought a Delorian, modified it a bit, and travelled thru time to 2010. After finishing DKS, he felt so absolutely sad, that he wrote that dear song. Curious enough, billions of people thinks that the "you" of the song title is referred to a man.
-Hit #2: "I will survive", by Gloria Gaynor.
Yes, Gloria was also an insane fan of RPG videogames. Again she travelled through time, and while facing ordes of enemies, the main acordes of "I Will Survive" came to his mind. The rest is history.
I just recognized your style of typing I guess :P.
Interesting to know that music used games as a source of inspiration. Through history people were always interested and fascinated by stories. And now in the wonderous world of technology, you can create your own stories. And music is nothing else but to tell a story imho.
I don't buy it...once a pirate always a pirate.
Other forums you would be banned for admitting it.
Just because you bought this game out of who knows how many games you stole...does not equal the balance scales.
Buy all the games you pirated and then we can talk...until then the PC gaming world does not need you.
Your the reason honest buyers get stuck with horrible DRM.
Besides my all respect, I disagree with you. You may have your respectable motivations, I have mine too.
To not upset you too much, I can sumarize it in two points:
· I hate bugs
· I hate low quality
If you go to the movie theater and the movie sucks, you loose 7€, but as I'm not rich I can't afford to be cheated when buying a 40€ videogame (much are even more expensive).
Sooner or later, I always buy all games I end. I'm not a Mensa member, but my IQ isn't below 85 (I know you won't believe me here) so I think I should be able to finish all games I play (I always play on lowest difficulty level). If I can't finish a game due to horrible desing, programming and testing, I'm not buying it.
I'm not planing to begin a holocaust with a termonuclear war against you about piracy, just wanted to let you know I have my own code of honor.
May The Divine, The Lord, The Godness, Jesus The Christ, and Mother Therese The Calcutian bless Larian Studios.
Crap speech.
I see you believe in Santa. Good, Merry Christmas to you sir.
Edit: I suppose that pirates are also guilty of incomplete games filled later with payable DLC.
