Pref. not, there were already enough beer-threads - and I almost know for sure that such a thread will get out of hand again.

Polish, English, German and Russian ( I learned it last time about 5 years ago and I don't use it often so I forgot many things... ).

German, a bit Espanol (sorry for the missing thing above the n) , but it's almost hopelessly rusted. I'd need several months of training to get into the Spanish language again, I guess.

hrmph ... all these intellectuals, I can not even begin to think which language I "speak" it certainly is not English as there are far too many pronounciation variables, which I forget to keep track of, forgotten the majority of my Dutch, whatever French I studied for 5 long years has totally gone down the drain and German H*ll I hated learning it and thus never really did, gotta admit I can swear like a trooper in Italian, Lebanese and Polish but that's due to the influence of the various Chef's I have "had" to work with.

German (with a variety of local dialects, if necessary), French and some sort of English (I am a bloody foreigner, trained by f***ing colonists, as someone very British once put it )

German (very easy language, that ), English, my French was once pretty good, some Spanish and Portuguese, traces of Swedish and some words in Greek, Italian, Danish and Turkish. Learning languages was one of my hobbies when I was still young and intelligent.

what?! sveltje, u mean u're not intelligent anymore? why? why? why?

as for me; english, malay (2 dialects; official & local), chinese (2 dialects: hokkien & mandarin), bidayuh (wee bit), iban (wee bit), crude sign language (i passed middle finger test).

wishing to learn: japanese, cantonese (chinese dialect), tamil & hindi (indian dialects), german, french, spanish & portuguese (i hear that the sentence structures are very similar to malay).

of course, learning coarse language first helps a lot.
