first off the next divine divinity game needs multiplayer
also I think they should have the mosters respawn but i think that they should have it set up like this:
Say there is a war goin on between whatever races you know somethin like that
well, they should have it to where the soldiers and stuff that aare around the town or fort or where ever when you talk to them start sayin there are rumors thata batalion of orcs or demons or whatever they are fighting are marching towards them to fight and then a few days later a group of orcs or whateverarrive on the map and either just sets up camp and waits for reenforcments and then attack
not just some massive wave of orcs but a strategic attack and you have to help defend hell just make it some sort of quest where you have to defent a fort untill more troops can get to the fort so you can leave and do whatever else you need or they arrive and just send little groups and you have to go and wipe them out
stuff like that

only 2 more thing
you should be able to customize what your character looks like
and there should be a higher limit to how high you cand have your skills
well maybe noot that last suggestion cause you could get way too powerful
anyways just consider this

I agree with your idea of respawning for plot purposes. I found it amusing in the original game when the humans claimed that they were losing the war against the orcs, even after I had systematically killed off every orc in Rivellon.

yes, i killed all of those (edited, for u Lynn, for U) orcs they still talked about how; 'whaty happens if the orcs brake through and attack our city???'

Well, I guess the people aren't wandering over to the front lines to see how things are. And the soldiers are probably being paid b the hour, so they're happy to sit behind baracades and drink all day.

well, hehehe, now that u mention it; thats about what my job is. hehehe.

u mean like having the orcs respawn at their main camp and the trolls respawn at their cave.

One other thing
the soldiers suck so bad
you know when you go talk to general alix and those few orcs attack,
well the orcs ussually kill most of the soldiers and then you go in there and kill em with barely gettin hurt
i just dont get why every good guy has to suck
also i dont know if yall care but it also kinda sucks that you can freeze the demon of lies and most of the black ring
it was just too easy
