Until 1PM EST 1/2/2011 You can get the Dragon Knight Saga on steam for only $19.99! That's right! Half the the normal price of $39.99!BUT WAIT! If you order in the next 30 minutes you'll get 3 exclusive armor sets, ONLY AVAILABLE ON STEAM! Call now! :p Felt like being silly, but this is an incredible price for an incredible game. I don't know if I didn't play DII enough, because I can't tell a huge difference in the graphics between the games, but I can see some small differences, but $20 for DII and the expansion, that's an amazing price! If you haven't picked up the game yet, you totally should! (Or, if you "picked up" the game, you should at least be kind enough to at least spend $20 on it.)

And it also comes w/ Securom 5-install limit DRM... I'm tempted and still undecided on it, though...

Securom doesn't bother me too much, I just have to remember to un-install the game. I used to HATE DRM with a passion, but then when Ubi-soft added their "Always online at all times even for a Single player game" DRM, I knew that I could choose between DRM like Securom, or be given one like Ubisoft's.
Publishers will always add some form of anti-piracy to their games as it's somewhat easy to pirate games on the PC. I can understand that, I wouldn't want people to steal my product I worked hard for and make me lose money.
This form of DRM, imo is what I call "invisible." Sure, I have to activate it once or twice (I rarely re-format unless I'm installing a new mobo or a new OS) and I mostly keep all my games installed at once. Once I activate the game, I don't have to bother with it for some time, which is nice.
I'd honestly prefer this to a disk check, but then again, I did buy it digitally.

I'm probably gonna wind up waiting until either... 1.Some other digital distributor puts DKS on sale so I only have to deal w/ just Securom DRM; 2.OR DKS gets a USA retail release and I can get it on sale so I only have to deal w/ Securom; 3.OR DKS on Steam gets cheap enough to the point that I won't even care anymore 4.OR DKS on Steam gets its Securom DRM removed.

Yes, Steam is a form of DRM, but one I've never had to deal with. The only time I have to be online is when I'm buy it, downloading it, and installing it. Then, I can switch Steam to offline mose and never have to deal with it. I have 250+ games on Steam, I have an addiction to buying games :(, and never once have I noticed the DRM in action. The ONLY time I've ever noticed Steam's DRM was when I pirated a valve game and tried to run it without Steam.
Yes, you have to technically run steam, even when it's in offline mode it needs to be running, but I guess because all my friends have it, and I have so many games on Steam, I'd never not have Steam running. If you haven't used Steam in a few years I'd say try it now, it's tons better.
But I digress, if you have a stance against some DRM/Stores, there is nothign wrong with that. I HATE Ubi's DRM, but some people think I'm ignorant for that. We all have our own ridiculous and one sided opinions we'd wish other's would see. :p

I've never had many problems w/ Steam itself - knock on wood. I've bought plenty of games from them, over the years - and it'll probably only continue, too.
Only time I really had trouble once w/ Steam itself was it wouldn't load my Games List for like over 10 mins. I renamed BLOB file to something else; restarted Steam; and it re-created my BLOB file and fixed the problem itself.
There's really two ways to look at games w/ Steam-DRM + additional DRM: 1. Steam is enough DRM, so the additional DRM is unnecessary OR 2. Steam shouldn't be forced to run games that have other DRM or clients(Securom, Tages, G4WL, etc).
Sure, I've dealt w/ Steam + additional DRM many times before for my game purchases from Steam, when they weren't that expensive of a buy, during them Steam sales - see GTA4, POP: The Forgotten Sands, or Risen.
I'm still sitting on the fence on buying DKS from Steam currently. If they removed the Securom DRM-check from Steam version right now, I'd jump instantly. Right now, I'm a little hesitant. Who knows, I still might pull the punch and order it from Steam. Then again, maybe not. I don't know.
*shrug*
Plus, I've already got tons of games to get around to, as is...

THIS THIS THIS lol. I buy so many games, I've probably played around a 1/24 of them. And I agree with you, I think Steam should be enough, but with OMG PIRACY publishers insist on being a difficult as possible. The world would be a better place without DRM...

Oh, I agree w/ you, 100% there. Hence why I plan to buy The Witcher 2 from GOG upon release - NO DRM. I don't normally do that, but for maybe one or two games a year.
