Have read many discussions about skills and such, and somehow this one seemed to be left out... considering it's prolly the most strategic skill in the game for a warrior (gets stronger as enemy gets stronger, can't be resisted, and 25% is no joke) it's kinna strange, unless I'm missing something o_O

That and Missile Reflection are both good skills, but they never appealed to me. When I'm building a warrior, I concentrate more on making sure he deals enormous damage himself and avoids getting hit in the first place than in reflecting the enemies' attacks.

Just a personal preference, really

Yes, but there will always be oponents that will get you good (like that crazy beast under that witch's dungeon).. and even normal oponents will hit you from time to time, no one's invulerable. i think of this skill a lot more than i do of reflect missiles though, because projectiles are usually far less dangerous than melee attacks. again, it's most effective against strong opponents (and there are enough of those i think), who will hit you no matter how much you invested in agility , aug def and the likes, and 25% of whose attacks will be A LOT, at least a lot more than the added damage you would have had if you had invested those five slots in aug damage or something (not that the latter is bad)

just a thought, if you think of "repel damage" as a counter attack made by your warrior, it's actually excellent for the "warrior image"..

although logic dictates that a warrior's counter attack would be much stronger than his normal attack, let alone stronger than 25% of a weak enemy's attack

I always take repel damage and reflect missile. I love 'em both.

You're definitely right Venom, they are good skills. I just don't tend to use them is all.

I certainly never based my decision on a dislike for them, it's just that there were other skills I wanted more.

Do you take less damage when you have repel damage? Or is the whole point to give extra damage to the enemy?

Anyway I don't think it looks very good even if it does defend as well. I just tried out deadly gift...three death scorpions wiped out 50% of the orc army while I sat around hiding. I actually started rooting for the orcs after a while

That's the problem with this game...some skills kill all and others are just kind of handy maybe sometime. (Except ranger sight. what is up with that skill?)

ranger sight is for making the black fog clear faster, in a bigger area
asto repel damage, it is solely for the aggressor, at level 5 it will return 25% damage done.
Asto deadly gift, i'd invest only 1 point in it, for when you're having troubles. When your level is higher, u won't really need them, and if you do, level 1 should be enough.

Well yeah more sight is handy it's just that Elven sight gives twice as much! Maybe Ranger sight is for when you've maxed Elven sight

IIRC, Repel Damage does indeed reduce the amount of damage you take.
