I saved before ascending the back of the tower.

Then saved a new save once I got all the way to the top of the tower. It took about an hour and a half to get there, (phew).

Then, I went in the door at the top. the one with Carlin the skeleton blacksmith. I saved (over my last save) and now I am stuck in the room with Carlin with NO WAY OUT??

I pushed all the buttons on the wall (poison, polymorf, fire, and damage) but nothing happens.

I even tried to make Carlin question his existence and die. Nothing I do gets me out of this room.

Do I have to all the way back to that old save before I ascended he tower? Is it hopeless?

Somebody help me please! I love this game but really don't want to do that last hour and a half over again because I off a glitch.

Playing on the 360 version of Divinity 2: Eco Draconis.

Did the door disappear or something? There is a door, you know.

Did you hit the button in the room that is on fire? That should unlock the door (and do something else). There is a chest in that room, as well, though with lowish quality random loot, so you don't have to worry if you can not stand the fire long enough to grab it.

He said he did. Hitting the switch does not unlock the door.
Picking up the Orb of Scrying does. Search the room for that.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I was concerned there would be little activity for a game that is over a year, but I am very glad to see it has quite the active community. Yay!

@Darien: The door is there and it is locked and will not open.

@Raze: Are you saying to activate the fire and run directly to the door and it will be open? I think I tried that.

@Shaver: I'll look tonight for the Orb of Scrying but I thought I searched the room very thoroughly. Any hints on where I may direct my search?

This game is very good fun! I guess if I have to go through getting into the Lovis' Tower again it won't be so bad, but here is to hoping this Orb of Scrying can be found and does the trick eh?

Thanks again for all the suggestions. I'll be sure to check back in later once I have had a moment to play.

There's a button (or chain, I forget which) on the back wall of that room that you need to activate. It's not timed, so once it's done there's no rush to get to the door. Well, other than to remove yourself from the fire before it singes you too much. grin

If my memory serves me right, the Orb will be at 10 o'clock as you come out of the flaming room. It's a small sphere that sparkles but not too bright.

p.s. Be sure to peer into it before...
...you turn it in to the Priest back at the Village.

Thanks again for the help.

I cant believe it was as simple as . . .

. . . going into the room that is on fire and pressing a button. Then the Orb of Scrying apears, the door is unlocked . . .

. . . and now I am good to go.

Thank you!
