I encountered the same problem. If you got a dragon skill book you can max your fire sphere skill.

I Fought Zagan like this.
my Dragon sphere skill is level 3. after the chit chat with zagan i quickly search for the nest tower and take it out. and then went to the upper ceiling of the cave where i transformed back to human. There i regenerate my hp. Then again i morph back into Dragon and completely destroy the nest tower. Then i flew back to the upper ceiling and transform into human and regenerate back. Then i morph into Dragon and take out Zagans Minion and save Zagan for last.

it was pretty hard but after 10 mins i succeeded.

If you have a recent save you could reload and return at a higher level.

There isn't a lot of room there, but if you keep moving can you just take out whatever gets in your line of fire, and not worry about targeting Zagon specifically?

After a lot of difficulty with this,I found the beat way was just to target Zagon.

With a bit of luck, you can pin him up against a wall where he can't move, kill him then high-tail it out of Dodge.

This worked for me after I failed a couple of times. Wasting time trying to deal with the other nuisances just tended to result in premature death. By which I mean mine, not theirs, which wasn't so cunning.

Yeah, I took out the Nest Tower and then Morphed back into Knight form. When I Morphed back into Dragon form again the Nest Tower was back up and running. Does it only regenerate once?
I was using Fire Burst since they were so close to me. Was having a hard time targeting anything. I will try this technique along with Fire Sphere and see how it goes.
If that does not work. I will try the Pining him against the wall trick!!! If that does not work. I will wait and come back when I am a little stronger.

Thanks for the tips everybody.

I killed Zagan last night. First destroyed both nests (or 1 nest two times... dunno... too much flashing), using dragon heal skill in meanwhile. Then took human form and rested in upper tunnel. There were only 2 wywerns and Zagan left, so i was just flying around and spamming spheres until all were dead.
I used step-by-step saving method. First nest down and enough HP - save! Second nest down, save again under different name if u like and so on. Then u dont have to start it all over again every time.

Tried also to target Zagan right away but after killing him all that i could see were lots of red dots on minimap (wywerns) and flashing lights around me and then i died. smile

IMO game is unbalanced a bit - all ground melee-fights (incl bosses) are even too easy and dragon fights are way too hard. Or is it only me?

I agree that some of the dragon fights are unbalanced and too hard.

Dragon armour is seriously nerfed in comparison to human armour (eg. no set bonuses) and the dragon skills do not nearly compare with human ones.

For those of us lacking in arcade skills, some of the dragon fights are extremely difficult, won't spoil here but I think the Devs should take a serious look at some of the dragon parts of the game.

They do have some dragon rmour that does work better than others just have to find the dragon stuff that works with ur play styleplus in the o fjords there are plenty of dragon skill books laying around which help offense or defense depind on what pieces of armour you have i tend to pick the pieces with dragon sprit and sphere and go for more pionts in shield and healing (well healing lvl 4)

As enforcer says there are pieces that help. I did it first time, but then again may have been level that helped me. Also what may have done it is I had one one +40% HP, one +40 defence, one +1 fire sphere (that maxed out my skill there ) and I think the others were +mana and +burst.

Basically I just targeted zagon and sphered/breath/burst(when crowded) having taken out one of the nests and he seemed to collapse not too badly and after not too long.

Hope this helps guys, as said may have helped I was at least mid 20s when I did this both complete runs so far

If all else fails, just go back and forth on that tunnel on top (dragon>human>dragon>human>dragon>ad infinitum). Sucks, but it works.
