I seem to lack the manual dexterity to leap from platform to platform. I will do Anything at this point to proceed...Spells? Cheats? Deal with Damien? Somebody Please give me a way to get through this room!

For the PC version a gamepad may be easier than the keyboard, or it may help to remap the keys used to move and jump. See below, and a couple links in that topic.

I saw that thread. It says basically, "tough shit. this game is over for you now because you can't twitch keys rapidly"

I've been playing these game so long that I started back when I was screwing your mother.

Actually, there are several suggestions that have helped others who had trouble get past that point.

If you have any friends or relatives with better dexterity, see if they can play your character past that point, or upload your save somewhere (like RapidShare or Megaupload) and see if there is anyone still around with the PC version that will do it for you.

you dont need any twitching really the w key +space makes you jump roll holding right mouse button should enable u to steer a bit the rest is just timing if tht doesnt help then i suggest get as far as you can make a platform then save till u complete it also on some platforms if you aim to hit the wall this will stop you from over shooting ,If its the ones that fall when you land just keep the w key pressed while tapping space bar it should go as one fluid motion
hope this helps

I hadn't thought of uploading a saved game and asking someone to perform that task. Thanks. Thats a great idea.

Thanks for the suggestion, but my objection is having to learn to make my hands learn the "hold w key while tapping space bar and steering" task. If I wanted to do that(or was good at it) I'd play some kind of Action Game on a Console. I like RPG's on a PC because generally you can Think your way through every situation.

Buy a gamepad / speedpad...Nostromo or Logitech.

Never worry about button configuration again...I too hate having to stretch my hand across the keyboard and hope I hit the right key at the right moment.

I own a Logitech G 13 and never been happier...I only use my keyboard for typing and setting up game profiles.

People say I'm crazy..but the voices in my head say I'm just fine.
