hello everyone, got DKS for xmas, and i gotta say its awesome, lovin it!! been lookin for a good ole RPG for a while that just sucks you in and makes hours and hours disappear, and this game s***s all over oblivion! (I believe in the concept of getting REWARDED for levelling up lol!!) I put a lot of time into borderlands last year, and i see many similarities between the two games, the skill tree, looting for better stuff etc, this is pretty much wot i look for in a game laugh obviously divinitys story is a lot more deep.

I do sort of wish the enemies respawned tho, anybody agree?? on the other hand it makes the grind that little more challenging, so pros and cons

There are a couple places in the game where enemies respawn before entering the Hall of Echoes, and more after that (though I have not played FoV yet, the end section of DKS).

In the D2:ED part of the game, spawned opponents are relatively weak, so you need to either wait or trigger them repeatedly to gain experience at a reasonable rate. The first spawn points are:

Broken Valley, Maxos Temple, mirror room test -
clicking on a certain barrel spawns opponents. I never noticed this in D2:ED, since I destroyed all the barrels and crates with a bow.
Aleroth, ministry -
allow opponents to get to Zandalor and more will keep coming through the rifts
Orobas Fjords, Keara's Flying Fortress -
trying to open the inner door in the headquarters without solving the statue name puzzle will spawn opponents throughout the outer headquarters. This is the best place to spawn opponents (you can click on the door multiple times and then go fight), though not available until later in the game.
In FoV I think there are caves that respawn opponents every time you enter.

A previous forum discussion on respawning took place in the topic WTF GARBAGE, and a couple other places.

The opponents in the Aleroth ministry also drop in experience as you level, eventually to zero, but there is some minimum experience for the ones in Keara's fortress (in the topic helpfull way to gain experience!, Uriel reported leveling from 33 to 40 in 2.5 hours there).

I think there is enough to do in this game, without having to kill the same enemies over and over again.

I allways took extra xp as a reward, did nearly all quests (forgot to turn in one side quest in the bandit camp) and I easily got to lvl 46.

So don't worry too much about your level, you will get there, eventually hehe

Exactly! No need whatsoever to turn this great game into a grindfest!

I'd like to close by quoting Bellegar's famous last rhyme:

"Cursed be the mother that bred thee!
The wench must have been a hell-spawned banshee!"

I loved levelling up in this game, you felt as though you had improved which is what an RPG is all about to me - building a crappy character with broken armour into a legendary hero with golden or so coloured armour with a impressive array of skills and abilities. Combine that will being able to one hit kill at one point and I have a good RPG.
