Hey guys, I just started playing Divinity few days ago and I'm having some troubles here. :X First of all, I started the game over and over again because of my wrong builds, so I'll ask your help bout this. I started a new char right now, I'm on lv 1 again. I was looking round de internet for some builds and I found this one: I'll start putting points into intelligence till it reachs 15 points, after this I'll put points into spirit till it reachs 54 and I'll put more points into intelligence. When my intelligence reachs 54 point I'll put 40 points into vitality. After this I'll distribute my points between Int, Vitality 'n spirit. And, about skill points... My fight skills'll be Magic Missiles, Charm 'n Firewall 'n I'll also put poits into Mana Efficiency 'n Wisdom. So... is this a good build? n_n And a question about Farglow now... I'm trying to find Edmund's key but I can't find it! D= I mindread him and I still find it. :X Where in the training camp is it? DDDD= Well, thanx in advance. And have a good night. ;* Edit: And, owww, sorry for my bad English.

I just kind of distributed points as I needed them, keeping some in reserve if I wasn't sure what I needed most. What stats you need most can vary based on the equipment you find, etc. The key in the training area should be on a rock around the fire, after you have mindread Edmund (one of the larger rocks, on the side as you approach the fire from the entrance). I assume you've gotten the skill book from on top of the rock there, as well? (between the lone mage and the camp site) Character OptimizationThe official "ULTIMATE MAGE" guideNewbie needs help, I think I missed something! (trouble after getting access to the rest of Broken Valley) Hey well i am new and need some help :D;)Welcome to the forum.

Even with a mage, for the first 2 levels I put points in Vitality.
As you start with 100HP, it really helps and makes a huge difference.

Hey guys... Here I'm again. So.. I reached Maxos Temple 'n I'm on my way to kill Amdusias, but... I'm lv 11 now and I've only 4 HP potions and 3 mana potions! D= There's no way to me to kill him. What you guys suggest me to do? Awww, my stats right now: Vitality - 5 (167) Spirit - 17 Int - 28(233) Skills: Magic Missiles - 4 Charm - 1 Mana Efficiency - 2 Wisdom - 2 Destruction - 1 Summon Undead - 2 (equip bonus) Hide in the Shadows - 2 (equip bonus) So, can I do sumthing now or should I restart the game one more time..?! D=

You shouldn't need to restart. Go finish off the rest of Broken Valley and get to level 14 or 15. Among other things, that will allow you to learn level 1 of the healing spell (at level 15 IIRC), which comes in handy and helps conserve potions. Each time you level go around to all the merchants and look for potions, equipment upgrades, etc. If you have any alchemy material, head to the miller's house and make some more potions. If you have any high level healing aura enchantment formula, they could help on a couple pieces of jewelry (though any level requires a fairly rare malachite gem, which are in short supply before you get the battle tower). If you Hide in Shadows, can your creature do any damage to Amdusias? Help on Killing Amdusias. Any tips would be nice. After killing Amdusias you will gain access to Sentinel Island. Your first encounter there you can mindread to go up a level, so the higher level you are (I made it to level 18 in the fjords) the more of an experience bonus that will be. You don't need to get to a high level, but it would be better if you got to a new level before entering, to get a full level bonus. When you have finished off Broken Valley, depending on your level you may want to try clearing out some of the opponents at the start of the fjords before returning to Maxos temple.

Damn dragon, errrr! D= I'll take my aunt to the bus station right now but when I come back I'll finish the quests I didn't do yet to lv a bit so I can try to kill him again. \o/
And, I was reading some posts about Amdusias and I think I read sumthing 'bout transforming him into human w/o fighting the dragon form. Is it really possible? O___O
Yeah, I gotta go now, I'll brb in 2 hours.
Thankz again Raze! *__*

Yes, you need to transform him back to human before you can defeat him. The Librarian is looking for a book...

Just to let you know, once you get the battle tower, you can re do all your skills. As for stat points, no matter what I was, I tended to try and distribute them evenly so nothing was too weak

Well, I finished the "The Temple Of Doom" quest, I'm lv 13 now. \o/ I'm going to finish some other quests right now. And thankz, born, I didn't know that. I'm going to spend some point into vitality now. Just another question... About the Crystal Skull. Can I use it to summon the creature many time as I need?

Hey guys, I'm at Sentinel Island right now 'n I'm trying to do the main quest "Candles in the Wind", BUT.... I read this:
"The mysterious tombstone M3(4) surrounded by three candles has a message on it, asking to soften the wind. To do that, you have to first obtain a spell. You will get the Spell Book from Elfrith, after completing the Man Overboard quest M3(14)."
OOOK, but I already did the "Man Overboard" quest and I didn't get the Spell Book! D= Is this book one of the prizes? Cuz I got exp. as prize. :X Did I do anything wrong? :X

Check the quest item section of your inventory for books (IIRC it is there rather than the miscellaneous section). The guy you rescue mentions the book in the dialog, and it goes directly into your inventory.
If you edit your post, there is a 'Delete Post' button beside the 'Change Post' and preview buttons. There is a two day time limit on editing posts, though editing a post will not flag the topic as updated, so people may not notice it.

Apparently you can not delete a post after someone has replied to it (I posted from the Quick Reply box, which the forum assumes is a reply to the last post in a topic). At least with a new topic you used to be able to delete it after a reply, but that would just replace the body with 'post deleted'. The only times I've tried to delete a reply was when someone replied before me to answer a question (while I was typing, or between me checking for new posts and posting), so I deleted them before anyone could reply again.

Oww, understood, understood... I'm not going to do double posts again. Well, I've reached the Battle Tower 'n I've some Dragon Skill Points to spend, but I don't know what skills should I have. What skills you guys think are the best to spend my 4 points? =D

From now on, just learn the skills you want to learn and if you don't like them just relearn them at the trainer in your tower.

Like Born2beagator, I maxed Fire Sphere, Firebreath and Dragon Spirit. I also maxed Dragon Burst, which came in handy a couple times, but maxing it was due more to an abundance of skill points (never tried the summon, shield or polymorph spells). Eventually I removed all equipment except Bone Dragon Cuirass (+40% hit points) and Bone Dragon Leggings (+40% offense), since the rest just had skill bonuses.
