Obviously the story is not over. So Larian Studios, have you decided the path you will take for the end of this story? Care to let us know how and when the next chapter will be released?

FoV was described as the end of the dragon knight's story, and Larian has already started work on their next RPG (see Status update from a few months ago). In principle another add-on could be released with another character, or to expand the current story line rather than extend after it, but I think that is probably unlikely.

Doesn't make sense that it is the end of the Dragon Knight considering what they left hanging with FOV.

The FoV expansion wraps up the dragon knight story well. The battle between good and evil will undoubtedly go on. If you're frustrated that you didn't get to battle Damian, you're not alone. As far as I know the Black Ring and Damian have evolved through the Divinity games and there's a good chance you will see him again if Divinity III is made. In D2, you don't play the same hero you played in the preceding Div games, so you may not be playing the dragon knight in the next release.

Not all things has been wraped up by Fov, so i hope there will be answers in div 3.
And it would be pity if we would be earthbound again.

I'm trying to be vague as to not leave spoilers here, but basically they are going to need someone with the power of a dragon knight to fight Damian. I like the idea of continuing the character as in FOV or like in the Mass Effect series.

They need somebody(ies) who can fight againts flying fortresses, since zeppelins are useless againts them.(slow, big, easy to shoot down).

probably that's one of the reasons why Damian framed dragon knights

with all due respect for larian-studio's and the creator of this game concept but i would find it very regretable if in divinity III the role of dragon knight would be removed as a playable role cause after all the dragon knight restored the balance but didn't get the chance to take vengeance on damian and finish the job so to speak, and personaly speaking i still haven't kicked off of my dragon form addiction and by that i mean every single aspect of it being it from roaming freely in orobas fjords or burning down some flying fortresses and killing everything inside and the whole battle tower concept was awsome aswell this is the first game that i enjoyed for it's entire concept; the difficult quests and all the hiddin switches and mechanism's, the story line and the combat difficulty aswell (i speak out of personal expirience and know fully well that there aremay be people out there who will probably have created the ultimate character that can not die in which case do not pay attention to that statement) the hints in every book that u can pick up and many more things, in this game it's not pretty pixels u see passing by it's really a focus point to discover more things and at the same time u appreciate the time the creators spend in making this game (not to mention to come up with all the unlock mechanism's etc) but please hear my plea... don't make it MMO, don't go internet, stay single player (for the story line atleast) and keep the dragon knight in the game!!! these may be selfish requests but don't missunderstand me please, i am only trying to let u consider to keep going with the story line as it is for that would make me (and if i may say so) and a couple of thousands more very excited to play it even more, i would regret to have to see that the dragon knights hour has tolled in divinity 2 so please consider it smile

Add me to the list of people (however small) who would hate to see the dragon form done away with in D 3

I thought the dragon form was cool, but it was really frustrating that it took so long to get the form and then learn how to use it well in combat. It didn't seem quite as powerful as I expected it to be at first. I guess it wouldn't be as fun without the challenge, but I'm going to be honest and admit that the dragon parts were tough for me to learn. The on-foot combat was no walk in the park either, but I learned how to best exploit the enemy in each situation. I would definitely welcome back the dragon form, as it's a cool and unique twist for an RPG, but I feel like it should be tuned or balanced maybe a bit more. I don't know, maybe it's just me.

Anyways, I want a brand new full adventure, not an add-on. The Dragon Knight Saga will hold me over quite nicely until that arrives. smile

If I may choose I wish also a brand new adventure and not another add-on wink
But so far I think Larian is already buzzy making a brand new RPG !?
Maybe it will be not a Divinity III (?), continue the story from D II, but that's okay for me too !
For me a game may have an "open" ending so I can let flow my imagination & fantasy further on with my own version how the story continued ...
... like I love to read a book (for example a 'roman') that have an open ending !

"And they live long and happy together..." it's a ending for some kind of fairy-tales for children before they gonna sleep smile .
But when I was a child I even make my own endings for fairy-tales !
Like by the fairy-tale "Hansel and Gretel" ... I make also unhappy endings :hihi: ...

On 7th of february 2015 : I start a new adventure in the Divinity world of Original Sin,
it's a Fantastic Freaking Fabulous Funny ... it's my All Time Favorite One !

i think the dragon form wasn't kept away for to long in fact i think it's good that they prolonged it for so long if u ask me... gotta earn it first i say besides most people have it tough with on-foot combat so giving them time to fight and learn in all kinds of narrow small and tricky area's so they learn to mind their surroundings isn't all that bad and for me dragonform combat wasn't that hard to learn just the flying felt a bit weird in the beginning but then i figured out how it worked and made total sence; but i'm pleased to see people are responding to the dragon knight + form smile more ally's for the good cause laugh
