Am I missing something perhaps. I don't seem to advance at all. In fact, I have over 100,000xp in experience debt. Basically every person has to be mindread in order to get extra quests or information on what you are supposed to do, go to etc and usually it costs like 22,000xp experience to do the mindreading. So I am getting deeper and deeper into debt, I cannot see me advancing ever.

I do quicksave before mindreading so that if the mindread was useless, I can go back to quicksave game but that really is a lot of hassle and most have to be mindread anyway.

Even if I want to put skillpoints into mindread now, it will take me forever to even earn the extra skillpoints I need to put into mindread, because my xp debt is too high to make progress.

xp quest rewards are usually like 3000xp which is a drop in the bucket compared to 22,000 for a mindread.

How do others do it?

- Amulets and earrings that give +skills to mind reading. the most I had at one time was +6, for a total of 7 levels in M.R. as I never put points into mindreading and wisdom.

- You also have respawning monsters that give out 1k-3k exp a pop, depending on your level.
- Another thing is that you should stop worrying about your exp debt as of the moment and just play the game. The most I had was around 200something thousand, I just shrugged it off and continued as I should, I leveled up before I even decided what to do with all the skill points I've acquired, since they hand out skill books in this game like candy.

They really give a nasty suprice for someone who did not put points in mindreading skill. That's one of some things that I do not like in FOV.(Along with too many skill books)

Thanks for replies. Yes, that's what I did now, just ignored my debt.
I think the mindreading thing was fun in previous game, but in the expansion they really did go overboard with it. Heck, why not just give the infor, why does a person have to mindread basically everybody to know what to do or where to go etc.

Skill points are so common in the expansion, you can easily max out mindreading to 15/15, then it doesn't cost any XP (and you'll get a lot more than the 15 skill points you used back through mindreading).
