Is there a merchant that reliably sells lockpicks? I've found some here and there, but I need a merchant that is periodically re-stocked so I don't have to go searching all the time.

Tingalf will always have 14 lockpicks and 6 or 7 death scorpions, he also usueally has 3 or 4 charms.

or did i hear bruce too in verd....

Where do I find Tingalf? The name sounds familier...

I've searched high and low for Tingalf. Is he the corrupt merchant that I turned in to the lieutenant a while ago? My memory isn’t that good, but I vaguely remember doing something like that.

If so, and if Tingalf is gone, is there anywhere else to buy lockpicks? Or is Tingalf in prison somewhere where I can still get to him?

He's gone once u turn him in. If u have the latest patch u should be able to get them from ferdanad or Finnaging or the bar keeper in the Thieves guild. but mostly get them from dead enemies, such as orcs.

I'll try the bar keep in the thief’s guild. When I checked there a while ago, it didn’t look like lockpicks were restocked. But it’s been a long time since I’ve been back there.

The barkeep in the thief’s guild is Afrasam. He has gold, but no lockpicks. Rob is there, but he won’t trade with me. His trade icon is grayed out.

What am I missing?

there's a guy downstairs named finnigan.......
and he wants you to get his lockpicks for him......
.....it's a little quest i think....

......so get them and either keep them for yourself or....

In a game started after installing the 1.33/1.34 patch, Finnigan regularly has lockpicks, traps and other goods for sale.

Did you steal Finnigan's magic lockpick yet? They are unbreakable, and give a +20 agility bonus. In a game started with version 1.32 or before, giving him back the lockpicks was final. In a game started after 1.33/1.34, you can return the lockpicks, then buy them back.

IIRC, Finnigan sells his magic lockpicks back for 20 gold. Obviously, they do not have nearly the sentimental value for him as he claimed when trying to convince you to steal them.
