Larian Studios Forums Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (English) Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis Beating Larian/Razakel

I need some big time help. I made it up to the top floor of the battle tower, and into the throne room with Larian. But I cannot seem to win this battle. I've called up a helper and have tried to use Sasson in different ways, but cannot win. Does anyone have any tips to winning this battle? BTW I do not have hide in shadows as one of my skills. Have cleaned out as much of the board as I can, including as much as I can do in the Fjords without winning the battle tower. Getting pretty frustrated.

What exactly are you having problems with? This battle should be fairly easy if you've leveled in the fjords...

How to kill Laiken?

Well, i went to the fjords, but could only do the cave behind the waterfall and the cave on the shoreline around the bend. I can't get thru the barrier and I can't get up to get the seeds because I haven't gotten dragon form yet. At least that's how I think I will be able to do those things. I think I'm at level 24 or 25 right now. I saw one other method of hiding and letting Sassan handle some of the work before I get cranking. So I'll hide to the right and then come out firing fireballs for awhile and then use rush attack on Razakel. Will let you know if that works.

In D2:ED this fight should be easy at level 24 or 25; you should almost be able to go make yourself a sandwich in the middle of the fight and not bother pausing the game (it's pretty easy at level 23, anyway, with a warrior character).

In DKS there was a bug that could give boss opponents an over-powered attack, which could instantly kill you. The patch will prevent this problem, but unfortunately I think if it has already occurred in the save it will not undo it. However, if you email your save to support@larian.com, with a description of the problem, they can fix it for you.

Do you have a spare skill point your could learn Hide in Shadows with? That might help if you have enough time to react when the conversation with Laiken ends. Check your inventory and see if you have any skill books you didn't use right away.

One person who ran into this problem (with Ba'al, later in the game) used CheatEngine to fix their health until they got past that point. Someone mentioned that Steam may have a problem with the use of CheatEngine, though, even with a single player game.

or in Vista / Win 7

C:\Users\ %username% \AppData\Local\Divinity 2\Savegames


You may need to set Windows Explorer to show hidden files and folders (XP, Vista, Win 7).
