After reading these forums now for several days, Im starting to wonder if I didnt chose the best class.

I have rolled a warrior, 1h and shield. I also took charm and summon creature from priest tree and 10% dodge. Now im not exactly STRUGGLING through the game all the time, allthough some fights do spike in difficulty and I will struggle.

I read several posts on here about how powerfull rangers can be. When I see talk of 1 shotting things, I would never dream of 1 shotting something as a warrior unless it was several level;s lower than me, and even then would prolly take 2 hits!!

Bearing in mind I like playing these story based single player games for progression. Im not into massive chalenges, thats what I play online for smile

my advise is not to spend points into summoning creature since youll get your own summoned pet once you find the skull, dont worry youll be able to restart your skill points later in the game . bow is a very usefull weapon aslong you keep your distance (jumping saves) .

charm is very usefull in the beggining. always start a fight by charming first , since the charmed one will pretty much get all the attention by his fellow mobs . Same goes for your summoned creature.
Hes a master at blocking them mobs in the tunnels .

k stop putting point into summon and switch to range ability like ranger. Get yourself a nice bow while playing your warrior. Try hard and get yourself to Battle tower and respec asap to a ranger class.

now u can 1 shot everything hahah

The easiest character is an explosive arrow + fireball + destruction + way of the ranger + jump and necro pet. On Normal fireball + explosive arrow can kill most enemies immediately.

I went down the warrior path on first play through and gotta say that it was harder at first but a walk in the park towards the end (not counting FoV). Would seem a little crazy going ranger class now that you are level 30 as I guess most of your stat points will be in strength and not in Dexterity. Stick with being a warrior, just change your skills.

I maxed out my weapon skill (dual wield, though two handed is meant to be good too), Life leech is good, reflect, regen, deadly blow, a point in rush, whirlwind, fatality is awesome if you raise it a fair bit, and finally i had a few points in 1k strikes.

On consideration I think that firewall would suit this class greatly, as that is a very powerful AOE spell. I also tried out lvl 15 fireball too (during FoV), which is great for softening up a group, then rush in and finish them up.

Just remember to rush rangers as they tend to try and move when you get close to attack you again, so it is better, if you can, to dispatch of them quickly as those poison shots get very annoying.

Also, I made my summoned pet to be a mage, that would spam magic missle et al at them while I'm chopping them to bits.
