I'm playing DKS (patched after Stone's Fortress but before Raze's Fortress), and am missing several dragon skill book drops that the walkthroughs say should occur. Did they get moved in DKS? Specifically:


I checked my inventory consumables tab each time just to make sure, but I never saw the books in the loot bags, nor in my inventory after defeating the NPCs & after completing the quest, & I was looking for them. If it was just one, I'd ignore it, but I'm already missing at least 4, possibly 5, and if the pattern continues, I'll be missing at least 7, possibly 8. That's a pretty major bug if they haven't been moved.

I assume they were moved or changed in DKS. At least the first one you mentioned being missing has been reported a few times.

Well, the thing is I haven't found them anywhere else. Set items that have been moved, I've found in other places. But, the skill books seem to be gone from the game. Should I email support?

Removing the skill books may have been part of rebalancing (in D2:ED you could easily max the essential dragon skills). You could email support if you would like an official response, though (other than a comment here about the librarian).

Heard back from support, and they've been moved. When I find them, I'll post something in the hint's & tips section.

They are all in the fortresses still (IIRC).

Check all the benches. They usually lie on there.

And yeah, was puzzled too by supposedly getting a Dragon Skill book from the Librarian, but never being able to find it. I assumed (later) it was the one in Maxos' Throne Room though...
