Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General Silver Breastplate stats question

I just found a silver breastplate in the Stalker’s cave. The breastplate’s description mentions getting an enchantment on it. Normally when I find a special item (like the dragon armor, for example) I re-load my game several times until I get one with really good stats. Should I do this with the silver breastplate? Does the enchantment add to the breastplate’s existing stats, or is it like finding a brand new item? I don’t know if I should spend my time re-loading now, or should I wait until I get the enchantment?

Wow. Thanks for the link. I had no idea that the treasure maps I was finding were related to the breastplate.

It's a bummer that the stats don't transfer when the breastplate is enchanted. I'd just got one that had an armor rating of 410 and pluses to all four resistances. Oh well.
