On the next level down, there are another 3 pedestals, this time with a book on each (there are also 2 malachite veins there). Take a look around the pedestals before moving the books...
Move the books to the pedestal on the floor above with the same number of candles in the candle holder as there were originally.
Or, more specifically
From left to right approaching the pedestals, the books get placed in the order dark, blue, red.
When you've solved this puzzle
a chest will appear (containing some possibly ok random formula).
