After bringing my alchemist Barbatos the Master Spellbook to upgrade my Alchemy Garden, I get a new conversation alternative from him: Do I want him to make me a spellbook potion?

He asks me if I want the potion to provide extra strength, extra dexterity or extra intelligence. He makes rather a big deal of it, and I also get the option not to make any potion at all ("maybe later"). So I'm thinking this is perhaps some kind of one-time offer only.

Is it? Or can I make all three of those potions?

(Is there even such a thing as a one-time only potion? I've heard some rumours of stat-altering potions before.)

The spellbook potions are temporary stat boost potions, which do not require any ingredients. You can make as many potions as you wish, one at a time. However, you can make stronger potions yourself (and do it faster), with easily gotten ingredients.

There is a unique permanent potion, which Allan would want for his second quest if you had picked him (though you can still drink it yourself, if you don't mind leaving that quest incomplete). Since you have Barbatos as an alchemist, there isn't any problem using it for the...

The spellbook potions are Rank 5 Strength/Dexterity/Intelligence potions, so they're not that great, but they don't require any ingredients, which is a plus.

So you can easily farm them. For selling, or using.

Feels like a bug to me...
