ok so im in the "maze" with 4 rooms and yellow magic barrier in maxos temple i just finished the three rooms where i had to jump up platforms, then pick up a pumpkin in a room of gold, and pick up a cup in the mirror room and i cant figure out whet to do to get past this part please help im about to throw my controler at my tv thank you

You did not mind read the woman at the start of the maze. Look at the map. You will see two rooms that are grayout attached to two other rooms. These are secret rooms and a stone block on the wall that has to be pressed in to open them.

Just adding on to what Ram said,

Two of the four rooms (sorry can't remember which) that spawn skeletons have a large grey coloured brick that sticks out a little from the wall. From memory they are eye level, so just walk around each room until your screen shows up 'hidden button' or 'secret switch' or something. Also, the two buttons are in the rooms, not in the corridors that connect them. When pressed a wall will be removed and another room will be accessible, inside is a lever. Once both levers in the two hidden rooms have been pulled, the magical barrier dissapates.
