I have been having mouse pointer problems ever since I started playing Divinity II, I tried a Dell mouse and a Logitech wireless mouse, the pointer is very erratic. I even put the sensitivity to none.

I have heard that standard Dell mice and Wireless mice are anything but reliable in games.
Any ideas?

Thanks,
TigerJim

In D2:ED, one person found that having a specific program running in the background (used to allow control of multiple networked computers with the same keyboard and mouse) caused the mouse to be extremely sensitive controlling the camera, etc.

A few people had lag issue with the mouse pointer, as well (part of the reason the original release of DKS was set to limit the FPS to 30, though that can be changed in the options in the patched game).

Hi,
This is a stand alone computer at home. not networked. I may try a Logitech wired optical mouse and see what happens, I think I can borrow one.

Do you know if it is necessary to finish the Hall of Echoes to pick up and continue the new release? I'm finding the ending very difficult.

Thanks,
TigerJim

Is the mouse lagging or over-sensitive?

Check out the following D2:ED topics:

Laggy Mouse (i.e. responds slowly)

Mouse is very sloppy, any fixes?

First Aid Kit for Divinity II

First Aid : when Div2 does not start or crashes

On the PC you can install FoV (available only by digital distribution) and continue with your existing D2:ED saves. There were too many changes made in DKS to maintain saved game compatibility, though you can start a new level 35 character at the beginning of the add-on section.
Once you finish with your current character, there is a D2:ED+FoV to DKS conversion patch you can install, if you want to play through the remastered D2:ED section with a different build (there aren't any significant differences in the FoV section).

FoV continues seamlessly from the end of D2:ED, so if you wish to play it with your current character, you will need to get through the Hall of Echoes.

Another..Hall of Echoes question - first section (a bit of leveling discussion half way down)

Still working on the Hall of Echoes battle. I'll be trying all of the ideas that have been posted here.
Thanks,

If I want to get the full version do I need to uninstall the older copy first? Probably should.

There shouldn't be a conflict, AFAIK, but if you are not going to play D2:ED again, you might as well uninstall it. I have both installed to the hard drive on my Xbox (of course a different situation), and have switched DVDs a couple times to check something in D2:ED. I'm pretty sure I recall a couple people with the PC versions mentioning that, as well.
