Everything was working great on d2 DKS. After entering Maxos Temple, I was unable to use my melee weapon, I have checked to see if I was over-encumbered, I have loaded older saves, I have sold items to gain inventory slots, I have changed my hot keys around to see if my melee attack button was broken, my spells and ranged attacks still work though. I have also uninstalled my hardware download from my 360 to mp avail, anyone else experiencing this problem?? Someone Hellpp?!

I wish i could help, but have not encountered anything like that. However, when I have had glitches it helps to enter and exit the area, or even exit, unequip everything, re enter and re equip... Worth a shot I guess...

Are melee skills disabled, as well? (Rush Attack, Whirlwind, etc)

Try emailing support@larian.com, with a description of the problem and maybe a link to this topic.

Hey guys, thanks for looking at my post, yes whirlwind and rush attack all work, just the swinging of the sword does not, and technical support told me to come here and ask if anyone else was experiencing this lol.

I don't recall anyone else reporting this issue.

At least in D2:ED, entering Maxos temple finished the Paper Trail quest, and a conversation automatically started with Zandalor. Did everything appear normal when you entered, apart from not being able to use the standard melee attack?

Can you swing your sword(s) again if you leave the temple?

Did you try switching to a different combat style? (unarmed, duel wielding, one or two handed, sword and shield)

You could head to the fjords, by the path to the far southwest in Broken Valley (the opponents along the mountain trail are level 18, but the initial area is safe). When you return, maybe getting the game to reload the Broken Valley and then Maxos Temple areas might possibly get your melee attack working.

What if you leave Maxos Temple?

Hey everyone,

I finally able to use my melee weapons!! I just kept going back and forth between broken valley and fjords and voila (what seemed like a ridiculous number of times) my melee all of a sudden started working again! Thanks everyone for looking at this forum!
