Follow the trail of blood and bodies on the floor, you will avoid the poison. You will however still get poisoned when jumping the water...

I guess you could kind of treat it like a maze, with invisible walls. The bodies and blood stains mark the corret route through, however if you stray from that path you will get poisoned. Don't bother fighting the skeletons, they will distract you and more often that not draw you into the poison. Just follow the trail until you are in striking distance of jagon or whatever his name was... Then hit hard and fast like any other enemy. Hope this helps..

A bow or magic can take out the skeletons, as can your creature (it doesn't mind the poison, but at least based in D2:ED would probably do better with a ranger head than warrior, and best with a mage head).

Hi Raze,

I always wondering :
what is the difference between a Mage Head and a Ranger Head for your Creature ? confused
I never saw earlier on a (pure)Ranger Head (with a Ranger skill, I mean!), only a Warrior Head(Fatality, I can remember) or Mage Head.
But all Mage Heads had a magic spell that IS a "ranged attack spell" (Fireball, Magic Blast).

Can you explain me when you named it Ranger Head and when you named it Mage Head ?

The game itself (at least in D2:ED) classifies heads as warrior, ranger or mage. You are correct, though, that the ranger head is actually a different kind of mage head, but I guess Fireball and Magic Blast are as close to an arrow as you can get without having to allow the creature to use equipment.

Heh, found a Ranger: +40% health, Fireball lvl 0 head once as quest reward in FoV. Oops.

Tried making a screenshot, but apparently FRAPS didn't save it frown. Guess it's a known bug anyways?

I got a level 0 skill head in D2:ED (I think ranger, as well). Heads without a class don't have any bonuses, so presumably if a particular random stat uses up all of the value available for the head, there isn't enough to assign a skill level.
