Larian Studios Forums Divinity II The Dragon Knight Saga / Flames of Vengeance (English) Divinity II - The Dragon Knight Saga Kill Xanlosh from Dragon form (SPOILERS)

I don't remember (imagine that) being able to kill Xanlosch and Isebelle from dragon form. I went through it twice to be sure it wasn't a 1 time fluke. First I cleared all the towers, as usual. I then flew above the no-fly-zone and dropped in just outside Xanlosch's arena. I moved up to the protruding ledge overlooking the arena, where I had a clear shot at the generator with my (still packing Mr.Shooty) bow. With the gen down, the cut scene starts. After which, both the Lord and Adm spawn. Still at the ledge you can turn, jump and take dragon form. When there are down, you can still engage in combat with Xan and Ise. I wasn't able to target them aside from a quick blip from Ise. If you get too close It will go into the second cut scene, where he summons the two flying bugs but they don't return. You can now get as close as you can. At close range he will result to mel weapon. Beware the dam from either WILL kill you...fast. Dragon Burst done the most dam at 250 to 300, and fire breath was only 6 to 8. It took a while...but MAN WAS IT FUN! Until the new wore off...

EDIT: This is a bug obviously, and afterwards you will be unable to use the Dragon Stone. At least I was anyway, and had to reload an earlier save (before the second/last cut scene) and finish him off by standard combat.

In D2:ED I didn't take out the generator until after I had defeated Xanlosch and Isabelle, so never saw the two summoned opponents. I'll have to try turning into a dragon in DKS when I get that far.

Ha, I got so caught up in the moment I didn't realize I had the names wrong (DUUH) That's what I had done in the past. So I guess, through normal procedure, if you take your dragon form while in combat (before taking out the gen) he will summon the demons anyway.

You fly over the anti dragon zone and revert to human form away from the arena, then get out a bow and shoot the generator before you even speak to X man. He will immediately summon the flying demons. You have to turn into a dragon immediately after that because the flying demons can kill your human form in about 3 seconds.

You need to take out the generator before being able to transform into a dragon (at least nearby). During the initial conversation he warns you that transforming is 'cheating', so summons the flying demons if you try to do so. Presumably taking out the generator during the fight is enough to trigger the summoning (and getting those cutscenes out of the expected order was what caused your dragon stone to remain disabled after the fight).

YES! The gen must come down before you can morph HUH...LOL! Boy, was I stupid...
Well I'm glad you were able to clear that up. Then Xan and Isa will still remain in effect both off and def while your in dragon form? I don't have a save close enough to that point to play with it.

EDIT And that does explain why the stone was nulled. You're just a plethora of knowledge aren' cha..
