I first tried Ego Draconis on x360 and just could not get into it.

Picked this up for PC last week and let me tell you this is the most fun RPG I have played in ages. I love the humor the fact that the game is not crashing - ever. Huge open game world fun combat good story. I love it.

If anyone is in the same boat get this for PC and start enjoying one of the best RPG in last 4-5 years for sure.

I second that! Similar story here; The first time I heard of the game was when one of my friends bought Ego Draconis for the Xbox but he didn't like it; said it was boring. I had a look at the packaging etc before he returned it and thought I'd like to try it. I don't own an Xbox so I bought the PC version and played it right through to the end. I'm glad I did as this is one of the most enjoyable games I have played, the humour, the music, environments, the dragon bits, well everything really. I have also played Dragon Age and preferred D2 over that. I was disapointed with the ending of D2:ED though and bought D2:DKS some several months later and played through the whole game again; I'm currently near the end of the expansion so Ill probably post something in the Divinity 3 suggestion thread when I've finished & seen what happens at the end.

Keep up the good work Larian - I loved this, it's just a shame it didn't get the sales it deserved and I hope you complete the obvious sequel. Please don't make it for consoles only; Divinity belongs on the PC.

The only things I can think of to improve in D3 right now is the dragon combat; make it so you can attack ground forces and be able to land and walk about as a Dragon. 'Drakan' & its PS2 sequel (the other games I loved to bits) had this and this worked perfectly I can only assume engine limitations made this impossible in DKS. in 'Drakan', they balanced Dragon / Human combat out by having lots of areas where the dragon could not fit such as caves. Other than that, it's pretty much perfect. The improvements made in DKS did make it more enjoyable than the first time round so it's nice to see developers take note of suggestions.

As for other things, as above, I hope D3 still a 3D RPG like D2 and you have more open spaces to fly about in Dragon form such as Broken Valley. More dragons on your side would be nice; whatever happened to the Patriarch? I'd like to see him provide much more of a role in the sequel. Surley he has the ability to create more Dragon Knights? Like I have read in another post; you will die someday so bringing the dragon knights back sounds good to me. Also what about giving your character a voice? Finally as others have posted it would be nice to go back once you have completed the main quest (such as Oblivion) rather than the game ending.

That's all I can think of until I have finished the game.

yup game is great on PC.
There were major turn off for consoles including the auto save feature that works exactly the same as on PC aka you can expect an autosave once in 2-3 hours of gameplay then an autosave every 2 minutes then again 2-3 hours smile That just does not work on consoles where I almost never have to manually save.

This is definitely a better game than Dragon Age 2 imo. I could not put this down for a few days until I finished the whole thing. Dragon Age 2 was very disappointing for me. I finished it on autopilot just so I can checkmark it.

Many games are better than dragon age 2 :p one disagreement. I have this for 360, and it runs just fine

Yeah I'm a 360 player and loving it. But that's just because my computer can barely run this forum let alone a game lol.

I started D2ED on PC and couldn't play it at all. Then some time later, when I got my xbox after I gave it another try, I was hooked for life. And D2DKS is even better. Now it is one of my favorite games of all times, easily beats DA2 (Bioware are lazy bastards :)), or Fable 3, or any other recent RPG. D2DKS is simply a marvel of a game.

Yeah indeed !!

The Dragon Knight Saga has a Soul,
the Dragon Knight Saga is a Gem,
a Masterpiece !!!

(sorry but I can't say it enough times & I know I'm repeating myself already more than ones :hihi: )

I played Dragon Age till completion and enjoyed it but there were several tedious parts that involved going from one place to another repeatedly to solve quests. I got more enjoyment out of DKS though so I prefer this over DA. I have yet to play DA2 although I have played the demo which seemed more like a mindless hack and slash to me. Might wait till it gets reduced in price plus I'm having problems with Steam refusing to let me play certain games because 'their servers are too busy' for days on end. Still not resolved this. mad

DA2 has some good parts but there are major flaws in the game.

DKS only has graphic problems and the combat is average (due to lack of blocking ability for a game that could do with one) - apart from that, DKS is certainly a very good RPG with well laid out quests which are very detailed and the option to solve many different quests in different ways is also an adding bonus. I'm getting Divine Divinity (the previous Divinity game) for the PC soon after playing the demo and it has the same charm as the DKS.

Yeah, Divine Divnity has the same Soul because

the whole Larian Team made these RPG's with Passion & Spirit !!

Divine Divinity is because of that also a Masterpiece, just like that is The Dragon Knight Saga on his own way !

I can't say this enough ... enoug .... enou ... eno ..... ! !
