Ygerna's voice always in your head telling you to visit the temple of Maxos every time you complete a quest in Broken Valley. Then throughout a lot of the game, you still hear her voice. Then when you finally get rid of her, the demon man gets into your head:

DK: Finally. Free of that witch. Finally, peace at-
Demon Man: Hello Dragon Knight. My name is the demon man, listen to my demonic and well acted voice, you have to free me.
DK: Oh by the Divine!!! Will I ever have any peace?!
Demon Man: No! Now complete my quests.
DK: Very well...

Granted. Further into Ego, Ygerna's voice died down but during Broken Valley, you kinda felt compelled to visit the temple considering Ygerna was always telling you to do so. Just to make her angry - I finished every quest in Broken Valley and defeated all the enemies (in the reachable parts) in Orobas Fjords before going to the temple.

KUDOS!! Well said. I FRIGGIN LOVE IT

I done everything I could before going to Aleroth to keep her shut up, and right before going into the HoE I'll be damned if she still didn't remind me that the destruction of the fortresses will be of little concern once Damian was defeated...OMG! I wanted to eat a BULLET!!

to shut up and go fix me a turkey pot pie... Then I keep on doing what I was doing anyway...

Ignore the voices if they tell you to do something; if they tell you not to do something, you might want to save before trying it.

I though Talana's nags were amusing in D2:ED; I have not played FoV yet (just checked out the start).

O yes, for me Talana's nags were very amusing ! I laughted many times with here comments, super-fun !! hahaha

They didn't bother me but I did feel compelled to go to the Maxos temple asap. I just ignored her till I had done most of Broken Valley. The only voices that did annoy me was your character saying 'ahh, I have been poisoned etc' every few seconds during large fights.

In the end, every archer has poison, and this line became a little too frequent.

And what's wrong with the HUD? Looks great to me? :S

Yeah. That did become annoying.

DK: "Ah...my wounds are grave..."

Bandit: "You hear that lads!? HIS WOUNDS ARE GRAVE! USE YOUR MELEE WEAPONS NOW! CHAAAARGE!!!"

DK: "Argh!"

Bandit: "We're the new Dragon knights now!"

Bandit 2: "Yeah. We'll kill the slayers, black ring and Damien and then rule the world!"

Bandit 3: "Yeah!"

On another note, did anyone else hate the running animation? I did.

I second the 'poisoned' sound-byte - really annoying, especially once your regen was high enough that being poisoned didn't actually make any difference.

I didn't mind the information about being poisoned or gravely injured, as long as it was a useful warning. But when my Dragon Knight began shouting about "grave wounds" that weren't actually there, it stopped being useful and started to become whining.

And there are few things more pathetic than a whining Dragon Knight.

This thread should be renamed to 'Things I hate'. One thing that is grown to be VERY annoying, although it's a tech issue/bug, the Creature is reduced to 50% health after reload.

Well if we're going in that direction...there are a few more things that annoyed me:

Fighting animations could have been better, well at least the running attack one for a 2 handed warrior - only one of a 2 handed's running attacks look good and smooth. The other one is where he flips over and the second one is where he does a spin attack but it looks like his feet touch the ground before he even touches it and both of these ones put your character in a disadvantage because he can't attack straight away after performing them.

A blocking ability would have been nice. Rolling and jumping just doesn't always cut it. I like bashing enemies to death with my shield though.

Kirill doesn't compose The Broken Valley song after a certain time. Such a beautiful song should have been included in other places in Divinity II.
