I found a key in Maxos temple on top of the chandelier in the room just before the library. Before you go down the stairs to beat up the Black Ring guys. Looked all over the temple for a corresponding chest or door to no avail. Anyone know what this particular key unlocks?

There is a chest just before you head down the stairs (to the left IIRC after some debris, or you can circle around from the right), which can be opened with that key or level 4 Lockpick.

so, if you have already picked that lock, that key is just taking up inventory- unless it vanishes after the fact.

Keys should be quest items, e.g. they appear in your inventory, but don't take up inventory space. Basically any item that cannot be removed from your inventory manually will not take up an inventory slot.

Cool, thanks guys. I already popped that lock so I guess the key is so much useless junk. Also, this particular key doesn't go into 'Quest Items' tab. it's sitting there in 'Misc'.

Some quest items appear in other tabs, but the ultimate test it can you remove it (destroy, sell or send to battle tower)? If not, then it's not taking up space.
