I have all three of the holy items and I have NOT touched the tombs down in there but I have no clue on how to sacrifice two to make the third better. I tried putting the dagger in one of the circles and the amulet in the other but that didn't do anything. So I put all three in one and moved one out and that didn't do anything. what do i do? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/memad.gif" alt="" />

First save the game.
Second keep the weapons in your inventory and go to the circle which is on the right when you look at the statue.
Third the statue talk to you and you have to make a choice.
If you win a bad weapon, reload and try again, until you win a good one.

Thanks...the only problem is I keep getting REALLY crappy weapons i.e. 21-50 damage and the best I have gotten is a 51-80 with some really great skills in it. Can the damage get any better or is that the best it can get?

51-80 should be the best, and lots of good skills of course.

What are the skills ?
Do you have freeze ?
You can save the game with this weapon.
And try again, may be you can get more than 50-80.

Maximum damage is 71-100 for the Nobleman's sword (and one-handers in general). The attributes of an item are somewhat related to your character level; the higher the level, the more likely you will get stats in the upper range for that item.
