I installed TDKS on my Xbox but it doesn't seem to do anything.

I expected the DVD to still be required for verificiation, but performance and load times have not changed from running the game from the DVD. Also, after the game is loaded if I eject the DVD the game aborts.

Is it still running from the DVD?

It it my understanding, (I could be wrong) that any installed game required the DISK, to be able to play. As this would prevent from passing a single game through the neighborhood. The load times are long in DKS, even with an installed game.

Ya.. I already said I expected it to be required for verification.

But installing a game is supposed to speed up game performance by allowing the Xbox to run the game from the HDD, using the DVD just to verify it's legitimate. Otherwise, what is the purpose of doing the install?

In this case, it seems to have no performance increase so I think it is still running to game directly from the DVD.

OK...Let me try to explain it this way...

Some installs do not improve gameplay as much as others. It seems DKS is one that does not. Also, try to load the game from the installed games list in the desktop menu, if you haven't done so.

The game disk must remain in the XBOX during gameplay. Although, the game itself, will be read from the HDD.

kk, so I guess my subject question is confirmed, the Divinity II Xbox install is not working as there is no performance increase when installed and there are no other benefits to installing the game.

May as well play it from the DVD; as far as we know it may be playing it from there anyway (DVD spins during play, no performance increase even when loaded from Installed Games).

Thanks for clearing it up though. Now I know it's not just an issue with my install/box.
