Hello, I am new here and new to the game, well about 12 hours into it. I play the game on XBOX360 and decided to start with Eco Dragonis (the first game)
I am about 12 hours in and continue to collect everything I can. I was wondering....
Do you need to keep the books you find on you after reading them? By reading them, is that all you need to do to benifit from it?
Buying and selling things...
Is it wise to always keep all the armor you are given from the start even if its level 15 stuff? I am currently a level 5. I mean, could I sell that stuff, then later use the money to buy better armor?
Thanks

You do not need to keep any books after you read them.

The level 15 starting sets (in some versions of the game) are geared to warrior, archer and mage builds, so feel free to sell anything that doesn't match your character. Playing a ranger I used the Mining Guild set and the Orabas Bracers when I got to level 16.

Fantastic... I actually just got the Rivellon Gaurd Armour after beating the ghost of Lord Arben...
I plan to use this until I level up to 15 or 16 then maybe try those armours that I had in my starting inventory... Is the Rivello Gaurd Armour pretty good? I imagine later I will get better sets..
Thanks again, also about the books, it was getting tiresome rooting thru all the books in my inventory... smirk

I don't recall the stats on the Rivellon Guard Cuirass, but I think I had something better (I used the Rivellon Guard Leggings for awhile).

There are better sets later in the game, of course. The first set I used multiple pieces of was the mining guild set on level 16, which I used until I was level 28, and could use a better bow I had bought earlier; with the set bonuses reduced, other equipment became better (I had been holding on to stuff to check out eventually), and I ended up replacing everything.

I have most of the pieces of the Hunter set, and a couple others, so will have to check them out when I get the last ones.

I kept most of the books I found, if only because I wanted to have a huge library in my Battle Tower. The Tower, however, comes without bookshelves. So all my literary works are stuffed in a pile in my dragon chest. Bummer. wink

As for your armour, I would advice you to keep the sets you like and sell the rest. I saved a lot of armours and weapons to give to my runners, but that didn't work - you have to buy everything fresh made for them (which costs a fortune). And you WILL get better sets; for one thing, you can loot one fine piece of armour after another, once you
start bumping off Damien's generals in their Flying Fortresses.

You don't have the inventory space to hold on to all three sets of Steam armor, so I decide if I'll be a melee warrior, a magic-user, or a bow-user in Farglow, and sell the other two sets there.

I loved the Blood Eichilon armor- i used that mostly through FoV until i switched to the Order of the Viper armor.
