I would like to point out a couple of problems I had with ED.

The targeting system was sometimes a pain for me. Especially in mob situations, like the flying fortress areas. For instance, trying to take out a nest and suddenly the target automatically switches to an unfortunate dragon killer simply flying by. Or after pausing and trying to aim at a lever or a chest while a mob is attacking you (because I'm so BA I can withstand a mob attack :P), it is annoying to do this.

Also, It would've been cool if there was some more character depth. There does not necessarily have to be any sort of romance angle, but maybe some main character voice acting, cut scenes, or more depth with the interaction with the platforms of the battle tower (as opposed to simple upgrades). As I was playing, I felt like there didn't seem to be any lasting ramification for a gender choice, decision I made, or conversation I had or didn't have.

Now with that being said, I just wanted to say that I did only play the original ED and I don't know if anything was significantly changed in DKS and I don't know if any of these issues have already been raised, so forgive me if they have, I didn't read through all the posts.

Also, I just wanted to say that ED had the best soundtrack I have EVER heard in a game other than LOTR (and that was basically the movies' soundtrack); and I personally think the gameplay is much better than DA:O, I was able to play seamlessly, unlike DA:O, pausing only when I had to target something specific (damn healers!). That is what a true ARPG is.

I have a collection of some of the best RPGs ever on both XBox and PC. I generally resell those that don't live up to my lofty expectations quite quickly. I have to say Divinity 2 will take a place high in my RPG collection.

Great job in making such an awesome game!

You can hold the left trigger down to lock on to a specific target. In D2:ED this also moved the camera to an almost over the shoulder view; in DKS the default camera position is closer, and unaffected by using target lock.

A voiced main character would have tripled (at least) the time and resources needed for voice acting. The amount of dialog already was also the reason there were no differences between male and female main characters.

DKS didn't add any quests to the D2:ED section of the game, though some quest rewards were changed (experience points were balanced so it was easier to level up at the start of the game, etc). Unfortunately the choices in quests didn't affect anything outside of that particular quest (or series of quests). Hopefully for their next games Larian will be able to add a little more depth.

The composer Kirill Pokrovsky has links on his website to download most of the D2:ED soundtrack, and more.

Thanks Raze for the welcome and thank you very much for Pokrovsky's website. I'm a big fan of contemporary.

I knew about the left trigger and I utilized the option to activate buttons and target certain elements in the flying fortresses but the target oftentimes would switch from a ballista or nest to a flying passerby. That was the issue I was concerned with. In reality, it wasn't much of a problem but was the source of some annoyance.

Yeah, I understand that a voiced main character would require a lot of resources but it was a suggestion. Should Larian have a voice and approximately triple the regular resources needed for a regular voice acting lying about, I'm simply recommending that they should use it for that purpose :P.

I never had a problem with the target switching when using target lock, but it did occasionally fail to lock on to a highlighted target (more so in human form than dragon); releasing and pressing the left trigger again would usually fix that.

Hmm... Perhaps it was just me and my shoddy style of playing. XD

It could just be a different playstyle. I generally attacked any flying opponents in range before taking out the nests, etc, in flying fortresses.
