Hi, only been playing for a short time really, I'm level 14, still doing quests in Broken Valley and enjoyed every minute of the game so far, its a fantastic rpg. Was just wondering how far I am through the game? I'm hoping I've just scratched the surface and have got tons more to do smile Also what is the level cap? I'm playing a ranger but on completion I will probably play through again as a mage smile Thanks in advance.

Yea, you're still fairly early in the game, since you haven't specified anything. as for the level cap, i think the cap is 40, but once you hit lvl 35- enemies and quests give rather insignificant exp, so don't expect to get past lvl 37 by the time you finish Ego Draconis.

Tutorial, Broken Valley p.1, Broken Valley p.2: Lovis Tower/Maxos Temple, Sentinel Island, Orobas Fjords, Hall of Echoes (end of Ego Draconis) ~~> start Flames of Vengeance

The fjords is another map about the size of Broken Valley, and there is an island about the size of the starting section of Broken Valley. In the city Aleroth, before the Hall of Echoes there are limited places you can go; afterwards (the FoV section of the game) the city opens up a bit. IIRC the official playtime estimate for D2:ED was 40 hours (I explored everywhere, etc, and took 75 hours), while FoV was 20 hours, though the combined DKS package was also promoted as 100 hours (Larian estimated the minimum playtime, while the publisher went with more of an average).

At least in D2:ED there was a technical level cap of 60, but you are not going to get that high without using a trainer. I think the typical end game level is in the mid forties. I have not finished yet, but at the end of the D2:ED section of the game I was level 37, and could not have reached level 38 without taking advantage of a couple respawn points (in the original release of D2:ED several people made it to level 40 doing that).

Thank you very much for the very informative replies, I got a little further this evening, completed Maxos tower, the game just gets better and better smile But since I only get maybe a couple of hours a day to play and like to explore everything I'm guessing this will last me quite some time, I can also see me playing though again too to try another class, replay value seems to be very good with all the different character builds you can try. I got explosive arrows this evening, they r awesome smile Once again thank you for the great replies smile
