i am a level 2 alchemy and can't figure how to make a potion. sure could use a hint or two. thanks

You need level three to make potions...

go up to a group of herb's, and drag and empty bottle in it, at the right level u will get a potion from it. If the bottle is a small one, level 2 will work. level 3 is normal potions, level 4 is super potions, and level 5 allows u to boost them, and level 1 lets u mix them.

You'll have to be as close as possible to these plants / herbs you want to use ... otherwise they flash in a rather red colour.
