So, I love this game dearly. It's on my top 5 games I have played in 10 years.

However, a small, nagging problem has emerged in the music that plays during the Sentinel Island map. About 45 seconds into the track, a sudden half-second audio gap occurrs which, given the otherwise perfection of the music, is a horrible problem.

Is there any way to fix this? Will this ever be patched? Can I fix it myself with a sound editor? Please let me know, thank you.

People have figured out how to extract the music files. I don't know if there is any way to directly edit the game's sound files, though. AFAIK another patch has not been mentioned publicly.

This audio problem existed even in the Ego Draconis release of this game. I doubt it'll ever be fixed.

This problem appears happens in the 360 version, too. I actually thought it was my console, but then I noticed it was the same part of the music each time.

There's a strange glitch in that part even in the MP3's from Kirill's site. It's not a gap in the MP3, it's like a split second was deleted and the rest of the song was pushed to fill the gap.

I think it's a source audio problem, nothing which can be fixed.
