Hey guys,

After having some issues with AA, I tried the forced AA solution with U3 engine, didn't work too well and went back to basic ingame AA + updated to 1.43 recently and ever since the game has been choppy. My system is as follows:

Win 7 64-bit
Intel i5 760
4 GB Ram
EVGA GTX 460 (768 vram one) with 275.33 Nvidia driver

my system isn't too fast, I know, but it appears I am far above the system requirements. I tried different graphic settings even on the lowest it ran choppy, whenever I entered le "free world" (caves, houses etc. weren't too choppy, still playable). changinge distance, detail etc. brought almost no change.

my CPU isn't even above 70 %, so I tried GPU-Z (no clue how reliable it is though)

memory and gpu use between 90 and 100 % (as it should be)
memory controller load never above 55 %m gpu temp at most 66 ° C/150 ° F.

I assume that there is some software prob, since the patch seemed to cause the trouble, however, I am biased (not willing to buy new GPU).

would be very grateful for any hints, solutions or similar experiences shared with me.

thanks in advance!

You didn't mention anything in your post about the frame limiter, so what's yours set at it in-game?

oh, true. Sorry mate.

I tried 30 and 60, both with enabled and disabled vsync, if that helps smile
tried FRAPS today, curious little thing: during battle, 60 can be archieved without a problem. everytime I enter a dialogue screen, it drops down to 14 at times (according to FRAPS), but I guess the tendency is important, because THAT difference might be spotted by my granny.

thinking re-install and then? any suggestions?
