Larian Studios Forums Divinity II The Dragon Knight Saga / Flames of Vengeance (English) Technical problems ED+FoV to DKS conversion patch (beta) issue(s)

I installed the patch in the title (ED+FoV had the latest patch installed) and there are two issues:

First, it says it was successfully updated, but when starting it (DKS) I only get a black screen (and the music runs). Letting it stand for over 30 minutes has brought nothing so far.

Second, the auto-updater for DKS says I don't have it installed.
Second.1: Is the ED+FoV-conversion patch already the highest patchlevel
Second.2: and how can I patch it in the future if the tool does not even find my "ED+FoV to DKS installation"?

Has anyone else heard of these issues and how can I solve them? And yes, I'm aware this is a beta-patch that might cause issues and has a worse (as in non-guaranteed) support than the official stuff.

edit: What is curious: I tried to re-apply the patch. It says it cannot find the ED+FoV installation anymore (same with the FoV-updater for patching). The DKS-updater tells me it cannot find the DKS-installation. This means the conversion patch clears the old install (registry?) but does not set the DKS-one correctly.

For the 1st problem, did it happen b4 u patched the game? It's most likely a lack of codec - I experienced it once while trying to fix my problem by disabling all of codec.

For the 2nd, i think you should reinstall maybe :/, or wait here if any1 else come up with better idea
