Larian Studios Forums Divinity II The Dragon Knight Saga / Flames of Vengeance (English) Technical problems Ragon missing from the Dark Cave?

So I wanted to finish the whole "Wanted" list and I have Ragon left to kill. I supposed to have a little cut scene (?) when I enter the room he is in and have a little chat, but all I get is a black screen. I can still talk to him but the rest is just plain black. When I finish the conversation, he is just not there ._. How am I supposed to finish that stupid quest now? Seriously.

I have loaded one of my older saves of this character and he appears to be there, but I'm not willing to re-do all the Hermosa sister's flying fortresses. I have tried to re-load the save and the whole game and he still aint there.

Do you have the patch installed? (DKS / FoV)

There was a problem where certain NPCs could go missing, which the patch will prevent (though not fix if it has already occurred in your save). However, you can email your save to support@larian.com to get them to restore the character.
Maybe reload a save before the cutscene and go do other things until you are done playing for the night, and them email Larian a save in the Dark Cave.

With the PC version, in XP the saves are in the folder

C:\Documents and Settings\ %username% \Local Settings\Application Data\Divinity 2\Savegames


or in Vista / Win 7

C:\Users\ %username% \AppData\Local\Divinity 2\Savegames


You may need to set Windows Explorer to show hidden files and folders (XP, Vista, Win 7).
