I dunno where I'd post such a curious question, so I'm just gonna post it here. And hopefully a mod or someone can move it to the right place if this isn't deemed appropriate.

So, I'm playing Divinity II: Ego Draconis and I just recieved the "Ultimate Good Warhammer" and I added a few enchantments to it. It has the same enchantments as the weapon I'm using now, and overall it has a higher normal minimum damage, but when I equip it over the second weapon, it shows a lower minimum damage. It's not a huge deal, but when I calculate it all out, it just doesn't add up.... :-/ Can someone tell me how the actual damage is calculated? Here are the stats of each weapon followed by my stats while each is equipped (keep in mind, I use dual-wielded weapons and have my dual wielding skill at level 10 for a 19% bonus to primary hand and 20% bonus to off-hand [which also doesn't make sense to me >_<]):

Mage's Ultimate Good Warhammer of the Vampire (the weapon I'm switching to)
One-handed Warhammer
Melee damage 43-53
Magic damage 26-32
Critical Chance 8%
Requires Strength 23/level 24
+48 to Mana
+15 to Melee Damage
+3 to Spirit
Empty Charm Slot
Increased Normal Damage by 27
Increased Magic Damage by 15
13% Chance of converting 21% of damage to hitpoints

Me with warhammer equipped Level 34
HP 616 Dam 436-516 + (100-111)
Mana 522 Mel Res 54.79%

if you're duel-weilding, both weapons suffer a proficency penalty, likewise with Sword'n'Shield.
check the weapon handling ranking in each Single-handed/Sword'n'Shield/Duel Weilding Proficency, and check the math.

also, are you playing it as the official Ego Draconis game or did you get the Dragon Knight Saga?

I don't know why an increase of 1 to the minimum damage of one weapon would drop the average damage by 2... Maybe a balanced weapon is treated a little differently than a regular weapon in the damage calculations, at least enough there is a bit of a round-off effect?
