Larian Studios Forums Divinity II The Dragon Knight Saga / Flames of Vengeance (English) Divinity II - The Dragon Knight Saga Book regarding Red-Eyed Maxos Statue (Spoilers?)

Hey guys,

A while ago I was playing this game and I found a book that was talking about the Red Eyed Maxos statue outside of the temple. Inside the book it mentioned that those who stare into the temples eyes will sometimes gain knowledge (or something similar). I remember the first time I'd read this, I immediately stood under the temple and while I was looking into it's eyes, my character either gained a skill or a stat point. I cannot remember which.

I've just found the book again, and after standing in front of the statue for what seems like an eternity I still cannot get the stat or skill point to show up.

Has anyone else done this? Is there a certain place where you need to stand or a certain point in the game where you have to do this?

I just played through Maxos temple a few days ago, the book doesn't give anything. It's a normal "flavor" book.

If you want all bonus stats/skills, this FAQ has them all.

ZixZax (whatever) imp outside the temple gives you two skill points for mind reading him though.

Oh I bet you're right cowking. I probably mindread ZixZax and for some reason, forgot to allocate my points prior to looking into the statues Red Eyes. Hahaha, that'd make sense as to why I haven't been able to get them again!
