I just purchased my first xbox, finally converting from the "ps3 only" crowd to the "I have both" crowd. This game was my first purchase, and I'm kinda overwhelmed. This is a truly outstanding RPG in just about every way. I have a few minor gripes (would really love some kind of stats menu and a general info sort of thing where I could see what enchantments and potions I already have so I know what to take when in dungeons) but nothing big, really. Oh, yea, and please make time pass, day and night just make a game so much more realistic.

That said, this is hands-down the best RPG I've played since Fallout 3. No joke, I thought Final Fantasy 13 was horrible (Square-Enix once had the midas touch but sadly they seem to have lost it), and the only fantasy RPG in recent memory I can compare this to is Oblivion. This might even be better than that, imo Oblivion was just too open-ended, a little bit of linearity is needed sometimes (but not too much). The only thing Oblivion has on it is the tremendously big and deep game world it created.

With that in mind, I know you guys must be hard at work on Divinity 3. Please go for the home run. I think this game hasn't gotten nearly the recognition it deserves, but still has gotten enough to put you on the virtual map. Don't mess too much with the formula you have here, it works. (Okay maybe add a hair more complexity to the combat system, like monsters weaker against one type of weapon like blunt than they are against say, piercing.) But make it HUGE. There were really only 2 major areas in DKS, Orobas Fjords and Broken Valley. Let's see the rest. I didn't play D1, so I don't know what was shown there, but really seeing the whole world or the whole continent we're on would be nice, even if you can't visit every single square foot of it, it would be nice to visit most of it. More areas, more towns, just more. This game is that good that all I want is more!

Outstanding work guys. Keep it up!

Funnily enough, Divine Divinity (the first game) actually had bigger lands to explore. All the map was explorable. They're actually working on two Divinity games. A Dragon Knight one and a isometric one that we can call the "spiritual" successor to Divine Divinity. They're calling the isometric one a traditional RPG too, so it should be good.
