Ok, first of all I have to say that I loved DD and I'm loving D2, but this thing is really bugging me.
I know that

when I get the Battle Tower there's no way to go back to the Valley or the "Island" to finish quests I may have still active or collect items. I was following the main quest mainly to have a place to storage items since I was very encumbered at some point (oh well I still am...), but now I can't do that because first I want to complete all the remaining side quests in those areas.

So is there no really other way to storage items before that event? Have I to "waste" ability points to raise encumbrance limit? Or am I missing something?? think

yes you'll have to use points to raise your encumbrence for now but when you get the battle tower you can reset all your abilitys & get the points back to put in other things.

Also any potion/enchantment formulas your carrying can be stored by an enchanter ot alchemist just talk to them & use the enchant/create a potion option any formulas your carrying will be stored even if you choose not to make a potion or an enchantment just using the option will store them. If there not stored after talking to them then you already have the formula & you can sell them.

thank you for that info, that changes everything. But... I have mixed feeling about being able to reset your abilities, is it a thing that you can do only ONCE or more times? You know, resetting abilities whenever you want would make pondering which one to choose kind of pointless...

You can do it as long as you have money.
And it's more expensive each time.

ingredients can be stored in slot with 50 units of whatever, then it "spills over" into another item slot- so sell the ingredients that exceed 50 units. though, it's doubtful you'll get 50 of whatever before you get to the battletower.

honestly, when i get new gear- i'd take it to the resident enchanter, have him strip the gear i'm willing to sell, then sell it.
