Little correction: you need 2500 gold. Because you buy 5 items at 500 gold each. After that he gives you the skill.
carpet-helm-mirror-sword (sting)-sword(unbreakable)
The order isnt correct, but that should be the items (iirc).

It is still a lot cheaper than bying them from the merchants.
