(Finished Ego Draconis on normal and... FoV on Nightmare (thanks to Joram smile ) )

still, I can understand why some are turned off by this game. For some reason, the show stopping spikes in difficulty never happened to me during plot points. But it did happen (a couple of times) on some obscure quests and luckily I'm at a position to just walk away from it (thought I never did).

When I played FoV I was surprised to encounter respawning enemies. IMO, a good decision. However, I'm quite curious as to why the respawn wasn't implemented in the Ego Draconis part of DKS (since I never encountered respawn there).

Larian seems to be learning from mistakes since I gather that a lot of changes were implemented on DKS (I never played the original Ego Draconis). Well, I think that puts my experience on a positive note at least.

There are some places in the Ego Draconins part (in first version & in DKS version) that have respawning enemies, but there is a good change you never discover those places wink
Plus, the respawning was maybe infinite, but after a while you got 0 XP for killing enemies there (if I'm correct) .

But for FoV it's a good thing all the respawning since you can do in FoVso many nice talk and quests... fantastic part, I likeEgo Draconis very much, but FoV I LOVE !!! It's soooooooo fun !!!
A big claphands for the devs !!!

BTW I didn't want to start a new thread but, what's the name of music played at the end? Not the majestic one but the one played when Arhu(the white cat) was shown? Pretty catchy...

---------------------
On the side though, I read that some people's battle with Ygerna lasted seconds and one even noted his damage is about 1500+ (I never reached this with a 2 handed weapon).

However, I reloaded a previous save and switched to 2 weapon style and indeed, fully enchanted and charmed, my total damage (magic plus melee) was 2000+. My fight with Ygerna indeed lasted seconds... less than five seconds (still nightmare difficulty). update: I think five seconds is a freaky accident and must have been criticals, killed her again and probably 10 to 15 seconds is a good range.

I'm all the more happy since I can watch the ending anytime with little effort. I really liked the music when the camera pulls out to Arhu and up to the "The End" part.

Another note though about the zeppelin escort during my second run. There is a situation when the dialogue is not properly scripted. I managed to escort the zeppelin up to the last leg with little damage but when the trigger fired, the captain was yelling "We're badly damaged! There's no turning back" (Or something of the sort) but the I can see that the zeppelin is almost in full health. Kinda took me off the immersion thinking "WTF are you talking about?" smile

The captain says there too badley damaged because there supposed to crash into the flying fortress regardless of how well you did your job.

I thought the same at first but then the video kicked in with there rudder being distroyed & I thought ok fair enough now you definatley not making the trip back.
