whenever i do aura of command on something and i have scubbus already with me the game crashes <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" /> is this to do with a bug or wot. thx in advance for any help.

Try casting banish on the succubus, then Aura of Command on something else. Some people have run into a problem with Aura of Command causing a crash. Once it starts happening, I think the only current fix is to re-load a save where it still worked and hope it doesn't happen again. Hopefully the next patch will resolve this.

Unfortunately, this was not a permenant fix Aura of Command crash/freeze bug.

Hah, so I'm not the only one! Thank you, BlackHawk, I thought I was going mad <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />, or my provider changed his alignment to evil.

From a recent trip into the old Forum, Gneen said it was only temporary, helped for some time to leave his resolution to 640x480

I don't have a FIX for the Aura of Command bug ... but I was able to
get my Scorpions back after getting to the Dreadlands!
1. Step one - before I left I slept ... At the time I had four scorpion pets ... of course they disappeared in the morning.

2. I then rang the bell and ended up in the dreadlands

3. I summoned a scorpion - tried to AOC it ... it failed BUT IT DID NOT crash me ...

4. I summoned another ... again AOC failed BUT DID NOT CRASH

5. The next five I summoned I was able to AOC successfully! W00t!

Previously, I had not slept before ringing the bell. When I got to the dreadlands I crashed or froze when I cast the AOC. When I slept before ringing it still behaved strangely, but I was able to get me scorpies working for me ...

Conclusion: when summoned scorpions are removed, it is not always done properly. In some cases, it leaves you in a state where you cannot even attempt a summon without a crash or freeze. However - if you SLEEP away your scorpions, you've at least got a CHANCE to get them back.

I figure as long as I keep healing them (5 level 5's) I'll be OK as long as I stay awake!
