Hi,

since my xbox become slower and slower and most games have a hic-up (without being drunk) when playing ... plus more and more the xbox start to freeze screen (without being outsite in cold wether) and all I can do is to force a reboot of the Xbox. (by pushing in the power button)

Now I read on the internet I can clean the cache of the Xbox so maybe after that all works back fine (and faster again) smile.
Now, I read:
"This method will also clear out all software updates" ...

They also give another possible solution (with as example the Bethesda game 'Oblivion'): cleaning only the cache of that game:
"All you need to do is hold down button A during the loading screen until you see Bethesda logo. This cleans the cache and doesn't affect any other system updates (but doesn't clear the entire cache!)"

Now, What is the best I can do ?
1)Suppose I clean the entire chache: I do believe I loose the game update of DKS that give the last updates + the Nightmare difficulty, correct?
1b)And if so : can I reinstall that download without any problem for my current save game (of DKS)?
2) Is it possible with the DKS game to hold down the A button so the cache is cleared of this game (like by Oblivion) ?
2b) But then I loose also the updates of DKS, isn't it?

Many thanks in beforehand !
Joram

If you clear the cache and loose the patch, you would just be prompted to re-download it the next time you started DKS (as long as the Xbox was online). I have not seen any DKS specific cache clearing methods mentioned.
This should not have any effect on your saved games. The only potential problem would be if you were offline, or otherwise didn't re-download the patch, and tried to load the patched saves in the unpatched game (that could still work, if the patch didn't change the save file format, but you wouldn't be playing in nightmare difficulty mode, etc).

I've cleared the cache and the stuttering isn't totally away (but better and all the game-updates are back updated).
But I think it's more a problem that I play DKS (and other games on my Xbox) TOO long in one time so my Xbox become too warm/hot and the Xbox start to have difficulties to play "smooth" ... :hihi:
So now their's only one thing I can do: play more, but with a shorter playthrough at the time ...

Unfortunality ... some of the games I have are SO addictive !!!
Especially those with the logo "Larian Studios" ... wink
So kind Commanders of Larian, can you imagine that it's most of the time not simple to stop playing ? Can you imagine that ??? biggrin
