Larian Studios Forums Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (English) Technical problems Game crashes when I try to open doors

Divinity 2 runs great, but game crashes back to desktop when I try to open Any door.I have read all the info on this and tried everything.But to no avail. I have all the latest drivers and DirectX.
Her are my system specs

Any help would be appreciated. The game looks and runs beautiful except for the door problem?crash only.

Try emailing support@larian.com, if you haven't done so already (see the DKS support page).

Securom might not have anything to do with the crashes, but do you have the Dragon Knight Saga DRM free patch? It should be available through Steam directly; the download will work for any other version.

A couple people ran into this problem in the original release of D2:ED (Can't get into any door, game exits to windows), and at least one with DKS (How can I disable motion blur? Also, crashes.).

I do not have DKS ,I just have Divnity 2 ED (US version DVD). I did e-mail support,still no answer. Sent them My .xml log. Tried the DKS DRM free patch and the game just crashes to desktop Before getting started,so I replaced my .exe back to the original.

Oops, sorry about that; I opened up multiple topics from different forums and wasn't paying enough attention (plus, most people starting the game now are playing DKS, rather than the original release).

I assume you found the D2:ED support page? The US retail release is already updated, though, and just had a small hotfix for a crash some people had when exiting the game.

There was no DRM removal patch for D2:ED due to contractual issues.
