Larian Studios Forums Divinity II The Dragon Knight Saga / Flames of Vengeance (English) Technical problems Played this game at launch and it ran pretty well

Now a year and a bit later I'm going back to replay it on the exact same system, and somehow it's running very poorly. Lots of stuttering, my character kind of slides on the screen, erratic framerate. I've played with all the in-game graphical options and tried turning off vegetation through the XML, but even at the lowest settings the game constantly stutters and hiccups.

4gb DDR2

Fairly recent installation of Windows 7 64-bit, drivers are up to date, all that jazz. A bit frustrated because I really enjoyed this game and was hoping to just hop back in

Did you install the patch, if required?

Are you shutting down non-essential background programs (like anti-virus programs, etc) before starting the game?

Are you having performance problems with any other similar games?

Would not be a bad idea to uninstall/reinstall nvidia physx

uninstall: Control panel > programs and feautes > find "NVIDIA PHysx" in the list and rightclick > uninstall

then go to http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/physx-9.11.1107-driver-uk.html and download and install the latest one.
