Hi folks. I've finished the game a total of six times, three on normal mode with a dark-mage build and three on hard mode with a dark-knight build.

I fancy myself as one who specializes in Broken Valley due to my memorization of which enemies to fight and how to fight certain enemies with certain levels.

I assure you that the walkthrough would provide you the "essence" of things that you will need to learn, but I don't want to make it too "walkthroughyish" because then I'd feel like a dictator.

This game is hard, which makes it sooo rewarding to finish. lol. I know so because I've finished it six times already (not including flames of vengeance though. I am about to download it and take the glory for myself.)

Who wants an actual video footage of me orally speaking the walkthrough??

Nightmare mode? Is that on a special patch?

If you have not already bought FoV, you may be able to get DKS cheaper (Steam and Amazon, etc, sometimes put it on sale). If you get FoV, there is a large conversion patch to turn D2:ED+FoV into DKS.

With FoV you can install the add-on, start the game, load your last save in the Hall of Echoes, finish off that fight and continue into FoV with the same character.

DKS includes the remastered D2:ED (redesigned flying fortresses, changes to enemy placement, changes to the loot and enchantment systems, etc) along with FoV, but unfortunately saves from the original D2:ED are not compatible. You could start a new level 35 character at the beginning of FoV, though (as you can with the original D2:ED and FoV installed).

Not a lie, but you didn't get the whole truth smile
Playing a melee warrior (magic and bow is for ...well you see what I mean) in the flying fortresses (redesigned) was one hell of a challenge.

D2:ED + FoV vs DKS?

Specifically for the flying fortresses, all but one of the anti-dragon shields were removed (the one by Xanlosch and Isabelle in Stone's fortress remains), and the ground fortifications were made more fortressy.
